Taylor Swift said she had a great 2017, SJWs immediately lose their minds

"I couldn't have had a better year."
Apparently this is a controversial opinion to have about oneself in the new world order under Donald J. Trump. My social media feeds have been blowing up over this. Here are just a few headlines from internet publications:
And on and on it goes. Why am I bringing this up? Because I'm getting sick and tired of people telling me how I should feel simply because someone they don't like is President of the United States.
You know what? I didn't have the best year either. I'm currently home sick due to being stationed thousands of miles away at a command I don't particularly care for. My father was diagnosed with leukemia. My mother's been suffering pretty terribly from a flare up with her rheumatoid arthritis, all the while she's been caring for dad practically all by herself! I just had an uncle pass away the other day due to a combination of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. And just last week, I had a good friend of mine die in an auto accident. Needless to say, my 2017 hasn't been that memorable and none of it has to do with politics.
But you know what? That doesn't mean my next door neighbor didn't have a good year. That doesn't mean he isn't allowed to have a good year either. There is more to life than who occupies the White House. And there is more to life than my own as well as your personal problems. If these assholes can't see that then I don't know what else to tell them.
So what if Taylor Swift had a good year? Good for her! Just because you're miserable doesn't mean everyone else should be miserable, too, you selfish pricks.

In this case it is just an extension of that philosophy to someones joy.
