There really isn't any serious opposition to nuclear energy at this time. Either on the left or right.

California reversed their nuclear shutdown plans.
The Fedgov budget has billions in it for nuke power.

There are all kinds of new Gen 4 and 5 reactor systems under development.

When was the last time you saw a big protest against nuclear energy?

I would be impressed if she said 'This will be a mistake' when they were considering the shutdown.
