What if the federal government mandates COVID lockdowns and one state refuses to comply?
No, a governor and his/her state are not allowed to violate the constitution. But you better make damn sure it’s the constitution they are violating and not a federal mandate before going to arrest a governor and forcing federal rule on a state.
