I saw the original SW as a kid and have been invested my whole life. The Last Jedi pretty much destroyed SW for me.
No one is more shocked than me that my interest might be rekindled somewhat after this move and the Mandalorian series.

Yes and no. It was part of a big celebration montage, but it still stood out. Everyone else hugged, they kissed.
But that was about the the only real attempt at SJWing and it was pretty tame. There was also a black woman former storm trooper who gets a disproportionate amount of screen time, but that was pretty minor too.
They all but wrote Rose out of the movie and they actually added some diversity to the bad guys thus down playing the whites=bad angle some discerned in the last film.
All in all, a lot for people who don’t want to see SJW nonsense in their blockbuster action films.
