Russia is so damn poor and under developed.

The Russians don’t want to rule the world, but they couldn’t afford to if they tried.

Stalin sent folks to murder Trotsky in Mexico to silence him.

We’re lucky he did. Trotsky was dangerous.

Trotsky built the Red Army, but he also birthed the idea of the permanent revolution, that Communists had to engage in perpetual warfare, everywhere, to spread the revolution.

Trotsky is also the father of the neoconservatives.

I'd say they more closely resemble the tactics of the German political party in power from oh, about 1933 - 1945

We are dealing with Bolshevists which the Germans were fighting, so a shitty comparison honestly.

Excellent point here.

The problem with Germany was that nobody established was dealing with the Communist issue, which gave the Nazis the opening to step in. That's why they initially were very popular.

There's a similar danger in the US today; there's a ton of frustration about the Leftist crap, and mainstream politicians refuse to stand up to it in a serious manner. This leaves the door open for someone to take the populist sentiment and steamroll into power. Trump did so in 2016, in one of the few accurate "Hitler" comparisons. He didn't lead the same violent, hateful pattern Hitler did after coming in (those comparisons are bullshite).
He also didn't stack the government with his cronies, another thing Hitler did early on.

Sold a lie so they go destroy their own neighborhoods. Then beg for the government help. Perpetual state of victims. Where the government feeds you and controls your healthcare. They want total control of the individual.

There are no accurate comparisons of Trump to Hitler. Trump is to the right of BHO and *Biden as well as Romney and McCain by supporting smaller government, more state authority vs Feds and America first. JFK was also America first. Is he also comparable to Hitler?

Authoritarians are always to the left supporting more and more government control and government ownership of industry. Freedom is to the right. All the way to no government anarchy. To the left are totalitarians and encompasses all fascist socialist commie and American neo-Democrat forms of government because it has to be enforced by government to stay in power.

No similarity to the Trump Presidency

The Nazis were an authoritarian reaction to Communism. They were ethno nationalists, but they were also very traditional. They believed in a society that was rooted in the land.

The Democrats went crazy because Trump was from the wrong class, and threatened to destroy the money sucking operation that they run in Washington. Trump also appeared to be worryingly effective. But he also spoke in ethno nationalist terms. Which terrified them.
