Did anyone ever claim he was?

Sounds like he’s giving away the farm - until you realize the fed gov isnt exactly awash in females of child bearing age. They don’t hire young either.

Next time he’s called a bigot he can point to parental leave for the womenz and shut it down with the quickness

Another stripe earned for 2020.

Brilliant move politically.

Want to find out what kind of tech we REALLY HAVE? Let someone with a high powered telescope figure out there's a big asteroid headed for Earth and a high probability for an East Coast US Impact. That's Democrats and maybe DC.

Then you find out real quick. If we have Tic Tac's there'd be a swarm of them headed to deflect it in short order, we can't be threatening NOVA or the Northeast.

Only if they want you to know all of that was happening. Otherwise all of those things would happen and nobody would be the wiser.

Can we talk about this? Donald Trump just created a new branch of the military, in peacetime. Assuming this Is going to end up costing hundreds of billions of dollars.

Nice melt

China has been seeking to militarize space for decades. In 2007 they successfully took out one of their own satellites with a missile strike (adding 3000 pieces of space junk to orbit the earth).

The massive rocket launches are not to impress but due to their lack of technology regarding satellites. We have satellites that will "unfold" once deployed, some with antennae the length of a football field. China does not have this tech and are forced to send larger satellites up, which need a bigger payload to get them there.

The US military used to be the only entity with deep space orbiting sats, now the chinese have joined us.

Taking out our satellites would not only hamper guidance, but our ability to hear and see during battle as well.

The aforementioned posts are correct, its not as if we are starting from scratch its just putting different tools from different branches and departments in one toolbox.

You're an idiot if you don't think we've been having a "space force" for a while now. Chinese are NOT ahead of us in this area.

It's just "official" now.

There is a highly decorated gentleman named Steven Kwast who disagrees vehemently with you. Remember NASA during Obama was a community outreach program. We basically gave up a decade to China & Russia in space.

Not to say we’ve done nothing, but infrastructure wise this guy says China is gaining on us and if status quo remains we will be eclipsed by China on this front.

I kind of don’t want these assholes on top of me with all the tech and infrastructure to pee pee in my coke

Just because it's called a space ship doesn't mean it's a fricking boat

Would't space fall under maritime law until "space laws" are established?
