Trump threatens drug companies with tariffs if they dont lower prices. Does that sound conservative to you?
They were price gouging us Roger. He stopped it. That is just good business sense and doing what is best for the US.

If you want lower prices on drugs, change the regulations and break up BigPharma.
Competition and consumer choice lower prices. This is just a tariff tradeoff.

How do markets lower prices?
How do command economies lower prices?
I know you cant answer, but figured I would be nice and give you a shot.

Some cheaper drugs could do wonders for your mental health. Maybe toss a few extra bucks in that ATV fund that was decimated by a 4% drop in the stock market for a few days ;)

Most of the companies that signed this agreement are not based in the US and therefore cannot be broken up by our regulations.

Well sure but when these companies have patens on their products it is impossible for true competition/ consumer choice to lower prices.

Youre not getting cheaper drugs. Your insurance company might.

Reform it.
Wouldnt you prefer a market based approach to command economies? Since youre an Econ grad at Auburn, you should understand this very well.

pulling it alone in the woods and posting gibberish a few thousand times a day (each) doesn't seem to be helping.......

It has a lot to do with Most Favored Nations, where the US was paying higher prices than people in other countries. Those nations will finally have to pay their fair share so our cost can be reduced

I do understand it. He used tariffs to get the desired results. You may not know that prior to 1913 both parties used tariffs to fund the US for centuries. It works.

You didnt graduate with an econ degree from Auburn, or you would know early tariffs were on finished products, not components. And we tariffed components as exports, not finished products.
Something happened in 1913 that made wealth much less of a zero sum game. Do you know what that was?

I'll buy him the ATV if he agrees to take the medication. We may be able to save him with a heavy dose of fresh Alaskan air whipping through his hair. Slap a little cat mobile carrier on that thing. #MakeRogerGreatAgain

I havent changed, you have.
I'm pushing for a permanent solution, not your "command economy" which will be overturned in 3 years.

Well I guess that degree hanging on my wall is fake then. I guess I will have to settle with being like you and have no degree.
