Happens all the time with Honor Guards. Troop locks his knees, a little bit dehydrated (because he didn't drink any water for hours beforehand not wanting to piss his britches) ... and down they go.
I've seen it happen a bunch of times.
I've seen it happen at Division Review.

It’s caused by either climate change, white supremacy, or low marginal tax rates.

You would think servicemen doing presidential stuff would know not to lock the knees. Guess they don't realize it at the time till they hit the ground
To be an honor guard in any branch of the military is a great achievement and it’s taken very seriously by them. You have to be physically fit, mentally strong and disciplined. The majority of the honor guards when I served in the Army were special forces. The young man could’ve been sick but wanted to fulfill his duty and honor for the former president. Just guessing on that.
Sure they were

Locked his knees. fricking rookie. Was on a Parade field in Ft. Rucker Alabama during a change of command ceremony in formation so I am behind a kid in our company who was 6'6 about a solid 260. He started to wobble and the big man started going down I had to catch him and then slide to the front without anyone noticing. Trick is not to lock your knees and slight movements.
For civilians - what this means is the guy was about 6'1 and 210 lbs and fell two rows over from the poster #noshitthereIwas

Don’t lock your knees
They tell you that over and over and over and over and over … and over again
But invariably someone still does it
