Under the new system, students will not be penalized for failing to complete assignments, and teachers will give them extra opportunities to demonstrate mastery of subjects. The grades they receive upon completion of a course will no longer reflect their average test and assignment scores. "Common grading practices such as averaging a student's grade over time can disadvantage students who started the year behind grade level and can discredit the progress a student has made, experts have said,"

Can you imagine employing the kids that come out of this system?

Once again, "anti-racism" sounds suspiciously like old school racism.

I would have actually succeeded in auch a system. I think it's stupid to make someone do homework on subjects they have mastered.

You sound like you are lazy which does not normally translate well into being a productive member of society...

I will say this...my wife is a high school teacher and they are implementing something similar.

Basically this year isn't about learning anything. It's about giving out grades and doing some babysitting.

But they aren't putting an anti racist tag on it...it's all students due to the covid/Virtual learning/etc stuff.

By doing this, they are raising more black kids that will believe the white man is racist when they can't land a meaningful job.

Such a said state of affairs.

Instead of pushing kids to excel, they teach them to fail.
