The meeting between Trump Jr. and the Russian lawyer was not set up by the DNC.
The meeting was set up by a Russian named Agalarov, the Russian producer of the Miss Universe pageant held in Russia. Trump Sr. also appeared in a music video in 2013. that was produced by Agalarov and starred Agalarov's son.
It also turns out the the female Russian lawyer Trump Jr. & Company met with had been working to try to get the U.S. Magnitsky Act sanctions on Russia reduced or repealed. The Magnitsky Act was passed in response to the death of a Russian dissident lawyer who was found dead in a Russian prison.
In response to the Magnitsky Act sanction, Putin retaliated by cutting off all Russian adoptions by Americans.
So there is the connection to Trump Jr's misinformation about the meeting being originally called to discuss Russian adoptions.
Do you think is a little suspicious that Trump Jr., Kushner, and Manafort would all be at a meeting called to discuss Russian adoptions in the middle of the campaign.
The meeting was on June 9, 2016. I wonder if it is just a coincidence that Comey said the FBI's investigation into Russian intervention started in June 2016?
