Do you really think that Cohen is finished talking? Trump approving the Russia meeting with Donnie, Russian investors and Trump’s Moscow building and oligarch money, etc. the games are just beginning and Comrade Orange is nervous - real nervous. McGhan’s insights on obstruction, more Omarosa tapes, his CFO speaking to Mueller, Mueller getting his tax returns and tax evasion being a real crime ,etc. look at the pieces starting to fall into place.

Its not a fine if you work with foreign military to change election. Its treason.

There are 2 criminal issues so far. No fines.

He will resign before midterm.

It's the body of the tweet you linked:

NBC News: Several political pundits seem to suggest that the Cohen plea is his word against the President's.

That's your definition of proof?

C'mon man, it's gonna be a long, wild ride. Don't get sick and throw up in the first turn

No, they don't

Yes they do:

quote:

"The government would prove that the defendant caused an illegal corporate contribution of 150,000 to be made in coordination with a candidate or campaign for federal office, and also that Mr. Cohen made an excessive contribution in coordination with the campaign or candidate"

"The proof on these counts at trial would establish that these payments were made in order to ensure that each recipient of the payments did not publicize their stories of alleged affairs with the candidate. This evidence would include:

Records from an April 9, 2018 series of search warrants including hard copy documents, seized electronic devices, and audio recordings made my Mr. Cohen. We would also offer text messages, messages sent over encrypted applications, phone records and emails."

Nope, this is the proof as outlined by the prosecution:

"The proof on these counts at trial would establish that these payments were made in order to ensure that each recipient of the payments did not publicize their stories of alleged affairs with the candidate. This evidence would include:

Records from an April 9, 2018 series of search warrants including hard copy documents, seized electronic devices, and audio recordings made my Mr. Cohen. We would also offer text messages, messages sent over encrypted applications, phone records and emails."

Cohen's claims in a plea deal are proof?

This is going to be long and painful

Again, they have to prove that he did that in order to affect the election.

If Trump can show that he EVER had Cohen pay hush money before he was a candidate then it's game over.

It proved enough to make Cohen plead guilty.

If it proved nothing, then he would fight it no?

True. Why would Cohen plead guilty if the Gov't didn't have proof of this?

Not true. Each payoff is different and could be done for different reasons. If there's a tape of someone saying "We need to get this paid off so our poll numbers don't go down" then that's the smoking gun.

But isn't he on tape saying to make sure the payment is filed so we can be legal or something like that?

I've read that in some places, but I haven't heard that on tape or read that as a transcript of the tapes

It's arguably a fair point in terms of Republican voters at the moment. Republicans in the house and Senate could do something though. Since it appears that Trump being the President is the only reason he hasn't been indicted for this, Congress alone has the power to investigate and address it via impeachment. Maybe Congress should investigate and/or demand that a special counsel be appointed to investigate before impeachment is considered. Or maybe Congress should push Justice to widen the scope of Mueller's probe to include this issue.
