I have assumed this will be the case for a while now.
Democrats know that the longer these lockdowns go on, the more unpopular they will be, so they believe their best move for propaganda purposes and political benefit is to do a short, quick, 2 or 3 week lockdown, then re-open everything declaring COVID has been defeated thanks to said strict lockdown, praise be to democrats for showing us how to truly take action and show leadership to fight a pandemic instead of the sloppy shop the previous administration ran.
And the public sheep will buy it hook, line and sinker.
