With JE dominating the news, it seemed to be missed that SCOTUS acted in favor of Trump firing federal govt. So why weren't they just fired?

Allowing the level of professionalism to dwindle to the point where it being too hot out was an acceptable reasoning to not have even a rookie local cop on that roof could be the problem.
By all accounts, even an eight year old would have pointed out that roof as the biggest security gap.

My wife and I were at the NASCAR race in Nashville a few weeks before the Butler event. There were Sheriffs deputies standing at the fence facing the crowd before and during the race. One deputy was watching 2 to 3 sections of the crowd as people filed in. There were drones in the air watching the crowd before the race and that was for a friggin NASCAR race! No excuse for not have drones in the air watching the crowd at Butler.
