quote:Here are the quotes
Youre "basically" making shite up
Me: Repatriating business and production has NOTHING to do with the govt owning/controlling private business.
Halfwit: Owning stock in corporations is, genius. Are command economies left or right?
Me: Link a quote from Trump that he's using the tariffs so that govt can take over businesses
Halfwit: Dont have to goober. I can show you what he did - The Trump administration’s unusual step to make the U.S. government one of the largest shareholders in a major Silicon Valley company
So, these are direct quotes of you falsely equivocating tariffs with public ownership of industries
Now you can stop stupidly saying I didn't quote you
And you're opposing tariffs for a stupid reason - because you are ignorant

The problem with SFP, or the ideology he promotes while he is logged on as SFP can be summed up by this

Here are points I made that you have not responded to
Steel problem
"Massive overcapacity driven by subsidies and other anti-competitive policies can only be disposed of by these producers flooding U.S. and other markets with exports, posing material harm to U.S. steel producers and risking the U.S. industry’s ability to maintain operations, grow, and invest in areas essential to national defense, critical infrastructure, and broader economic welfare."
Ah..youre talking about the old "Theyre flooding the world with cheap steel" histrionics.
quote:
U.S. consumers and businesses are paying more than $900,000 a year for every job saved or created by Trump steel tariffs, according to calculations by experts at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. The cost is more than 13 times the typical salary of a steelworker
Not worth it.

What about tech?
What about pharma?
What about rare earth metals?
What about them? Are you suggesting we dont export tech?
As for the others, not really a concern. The USA could easily fix thie precious metals issue with renewed interest in the arctic exploration but we're behind Russia, Canada and China already.

youre talking about the old "Theyre flooding the world with cheap steel" histrionics
BTW, the "flooding" is not the only problem with these goods. But you knew that didn't you?
quote:Hard hitting journalism right there. Let us know when you want to provide a grown up response
Not worth it.
quote:Sigh. It's like you have no brain whatsoever
What about them?
quote:You can't even follow a simple point
Are you suggesting we dont export tech?

Do you know why it's important that we don't let China control our supply of rare earth metals? This is why Trump is working hard to strike the Australian deal. Apparently you know more than all of them.
Again, since you seem to have an incredibly short memory, do you recall the computer processor crisis and what it did to the automotive industry? Thousands and thousands of vehicles sitting in lots and fields. It nearly crippled the entire industry for a short while.
You can't be reasoned with. You are an irrational imbecile. You have no grasp on reality and your responses are the equivalent of a child with your fingers in your ears. Until you actually go out into the real world and listen to industry leaders talk about real problems, then you will continue to be an ignoramus. I showed you an article summarizing the problem from an industry perspective and all you've done is gaslight and tell them they don't know what they're talking about and you know better even though you likely know ZERO about the steel industry
On this issue, you are a complete and utter moron

You don't think it's a concern that China manufactures a scary percentage of our pharma?
Not really. India mfgs twice as much of our pharma as China.
