Just dump them altogether.

The negatives of this relationship seem to outweigh the positives at this point.

I'm actually debating in my mind whether or not Nixon opening up China was a good thing in the long run.

Leaning towards no.

Since we are so financially dependent on them, and 90+ percent of our drugs come from there as detailed in a post yesterday, it would be nearly impossible.
Plus, how would we stop private companies from doing business with them?

Can you list the top 5 negatives/positives in your opinion? May be easier to have a discussion.

Would be in huge favor, but with vigilance and caution. We did that to Japan when they were trying to expand their empire and they attempted to cripple our Pacific fleet.

As long as we are on guard, go for it.

The exact same way we stop private businesses from doing business with Iran and North Korea.

We could bolster the economies of the other Asian countries.

So if the government tells Apple to stop doing business with China, you think they would stop?

They’d certainly have to choose between the US and China.

Do you think we do not have the capability to make drugs in the US?

You china lovers need to realize that production can quickly be shifted to other countries who would love to puck up the slack.

This isn’t the 1980s.

That’s why China had to bend the knee in the trade war. They lost a LOT of manufacturers to other Asian competitors.

That’s funny.

It would be painful, but we’d be better off for it.

Any business that we do with our enemies should be extremely limited, if at all. China is our enemy, whether we want to admit it or not.
