I have no dog in this fight. I’d never heard her name before this thread. I do not know her views on issues or her party. I don’t even know her past driving record, and she is not my representative.
Should she resign? No.
She was hired as a representative not a chauffeur. If she doesn’t vote as her constituents desire then she should resign.
One should not expect perfection from people, because none of us are perfect. Should she resign for running a red light? Speeding? Not using a hands free device?
I read where she is 70. Sure, she should know better. But this apparently is her 1st DWI. This proves that she is just as stupid and human as the rest of us. Would this be factored into my vote for her re-election? Yes.
But her voting record would influence my vote a thousand times more.

We all make mistakes though... DUI really has no impact on her ability to perform her job, and the penalties for first offense DUI need to be softened
Sorry you're drunk driving white trash... she ran into a stopped car at a red light. What if that car hadn't been there and some teenage kid was walking home from their late shift at Wendy's and she killed them? Just a fricking mistake, right? Oh well?
Drunk driving scumbags are right above pedophiles and Democrats in the pieces of human debris department.

It goes to her character. She didn't think twice about putting the welfare and safety of everyone she passed on the road in jeopardy.
Every day drunk drivers kill innocent people. People on their way home or on their way to school, have their lives ended by selfish pricks.
