The main question is if they did adequate testing to make sure recently vaccinated were being accounted for as potential false positives in the outbreak numbers. Seems pretty damn reasonable question to ask as to not start a panic
You’re right.

I’m truly stumped by the response to this article. I can only suppose it’s a knee jerk reaction to anything vax related.

When did it become so controversial to suggest something be studied further?

First, it's not controversial at all.
Second, this has been studied previously. TTBOMK, present MMR vaxxes have been around 2-5 decades.

So why is this thread still going on?
The article just talked about the study on shedding, asked if the false positives from the vax campaign may be contributing to the “outbreak” numbers and spreading false panic and further asked if shedding should be studied more.
How is any of this controversial enough for so many people to keep responding?

And the article never said they did. They sited exactly one study that provided evidence of recently vaccinated people transmitting to others. The rest is them discussing reasons why they think the vaccine could be transmitting the deasease. Glad we are caught up.
They didn’t cite the study, they referenced a study, however, like I previously stated, I cant find a study that says that, and in likelihood they are misrepresenting another study about vaccine failure but doesn’t discuss how recent the vaccine dose was
