With only eight days before the October 14th primary election, U-S Senator John Kennedy has yet to make an endorsement in the Louisiana governor’s race. LaPolictics.com Publisher Jeremy Alford says it’s a mystery why Kennedy has not endorsed anyone after he thought about running.
“He made a lot of headlines for kind of flirting with the governor’s race. Then he grabbed a bunch of headlines for deciding not to run for governor. And he continued to grab headlines by suggesting that he would not support Jeff Landry.”
Alford says the only endorsement Kennedy has made in a statewide race is Liz Murrill who has been Landry’s top prosecutor in the AG’s office.
“John Kennedy has endorsed Jeff Landry’s right hand in backing Liz Murill for Attorney General. So that’s certainly could be interpreted as an olive branch.”
Alford believes as the major Republican frontrunner, Landry does not need endorsements to carry him across the finish line. He says on average in a race with a strong Republican contender, the Republican usually wins.
“If we’re looking at a traditional R versus D runoff, the Republican is probably more than likely going to be the heavy favorite in that race whether John Kennedy gets involved or not.”
The primary election is on October 14th.

I do find this curious. While Sen. Kennedy established a reputation as State Treasurer to calling out tomfoolery in Louisiana State Government, he also established a reputation as one to usually align himself in a manner that served him well politically.
Several members of the Louisiana Congressional delegation have come out and already endorsed Jeff Landry for Governor, even with other legitimate Republican candidates in the race. Interested to see if Sen. Kennedy does this at least this week leading up to Saturday, or if he still waits on the sidelines for the runoff.

don't care.
Vote for who you want. Not who some current politician loser tells you to.
Just don't vote Dem. That's dumb.

Can't wait to hear who that blowhard endorses.
Probably wants to verify their support for Ukraine first.
