The only way congress defines the constitutionality of anything is by amending the constitution. Pretending otherwise is not living in the real world.

Well that is totally wrong.
The Senate, regardless of whether its in normal session, acting as an impeachment jury, or receiving the petitions of a newly arrived alien species, can't determine the constitutionality of anything whatsoever.
The only way Congress can do so is by amending the Constitution. The "constitutionality" vote was a meaningless show vote/resolution, just like 99.9% of everything else voted on by either chamber of Congress.

still runs.
hes found guilty of whatever ny state comes up with.
still runs.
some outcomes will have Cruz as nominee.
