Created a hostile environment
Well, considering Trump is not getting the genuflecting obsequiousness that Oama got for 8 years, I have a hard time putting this all at the feet of Trump. Do you deny that there has been an inequality of treatment and deference?

gone the route of ready, fire, aim..
In this case, I agree with the position that telegraphing the move and delaying implementation only emboldens people to jump ahead to avoid the effect. In other cases, I would probably take longer, but I am also much happier with getting stuff done than navel-gazing forever.

ude got straight called out that Trump called his EO a ban and Spicer tried to walk it back and say "He just used that work because y'all used that word"
On one hand, I would say this is a debate about semantics, but all pols do that. I agree that the parsing is stupid, and I would come out and say it is a temporary ban, just to move on. I think it is a silly argument to be in, but, again, put at least half of this on the media. Trying to get these people off trivial issues like semantics only minimizes the real debates.
As far as the general pace, though, I like that Trump is running this like a business. I find it funny how bent people get about about having a say in all things the government does, but are oblivious to the fact that the segment of their lives that impacts them more directly and frequently (their jobs) are far from a democracy. Somebody makes the call, you move forward, and adjust as new conditions warrant it. In politics, that change is always treated as a screwup. I don't want a dictatorship, but I do like that Trump does not obsess over getting approval from the chatterazi before moving forward.
So, I will grant you that the rollout has not been perfect, but having to play so much defense against a hostile press is more an issue of the latter than the former.
