The trio falsely claimed that McCarthy “struck a corrupt bargain in his desperate, and nearly failed, attempt to win the Speakership, a bargain that required political vengeance against the three of us,” as Politico reported.

In 2020 or earlier the democrats kicked MTG and someone else off of a committee siting their "violent speech". McCarthy and McConnell both warned Pelosi and others that this would come back to bite them if they did it.
