Who would of thought Bernie could land a knockout punch in South Carolina? The problem for Biden is Steyer is at 16.5%. Unless Warren is able to cut into some of Bernie’s support it’s going to be hard for Biden to hold on in South Carolina.

I expect Warren to come after Bernie hard at debate Monday. I also expect Bernie to play up civil rights marches and for reparations to make its way into debate. Reparations and 1994 Crime Bill are toxic issues for Biden. Steyer really presents a problem for Biden. Maybe there’s some voters that can be peeled away from Mayor Pete? I expect this to be within 3% either way.

I’m just seeing this OMG!

I think Warren sees the writing on the wall. I wouldn’t be very surprised if she ended up supporting Bernie.

The DNC better get Steyer to drop out ASAP.

Also it’s insane that he gained that much ground on Biden in SC.

It’s one of those things where some of the anti- centrist probably believe Steyer has bank to over take Biden and Bloomberg but there just isn’t enough time. It’s either Biden on Bernie is racing to the nomination.

If he takes Texas and S. Carolina he'd have victories representative of pretty much every region of the country. From there it's not very difficult to forecast most of the rest.

Bernie probably knows Warren brings little to ticket. He’s going to either be leaning Gillum in Florida or Harris in California. I think Bernie knows Trump stands to make ground with AA voters so he’s going to have to even consider Booker or Patrick. Warren isn’t going to be on the ticket so her best play is to stay in and block him as long as she can.

Exactly 100%

Anti Bernie Democrats basically have SC to stop Bernie or he’s going to burn the map up on Super Tuesday. If Biden holds SC then it’s high noon in Texas. Biden probably carries the south but Texas will tell us if Bernie is inevitable. Meaning , not even the Super Delegates dare cross him at Convention.

Good

Bernie winning the primary by a considerable fashion but with only around 30% of the total votes and not even getting close to a 50% +1 delegate count is best case

They will have to 1) throw him out and millions of Bernie Bros will riot or 2) nominate him and see just how many of the 70% of democrats that did not vote for him are going to be okay with the idea of 50 trillion in spending the next 10 years while every single house and senate race in a close election has to publicly denounce him

Maybe you’re right. She did seem rather congratulatory to him last night. Her main target right now seems to be Bloomberg.

She basically gave Biden a life raft by scalping Bloomberg in Nevada (she really is a Native American) . They will need to do it again but for now Bloomberg isn’t even on ballot in SC. No, the target has to be Bernie. The games over if he wins SC. I mean, let’s be honest Warren has no path, zero, none, zip. Her only play is to keep the race going and keeping her block from joining Bernie.

Bloomberg is a red herring. I have no idea why those morons went after him so hard in the last debate. Bernie was barely touched.

If Bernie is "winning" with every state under 50%, how is he racing to the nomination? Racing to a brokered convention, maybe.

Literally the only thing that is appealing to SC AA voters for Steyer is he is promising reparations. They couldn't care less about any of his other platforms.

With Sanders Heart Issues, I would be kissing his arse to be VP and I think Warren starts to suck up to him biggly.

Based on 538's data it looks like Biden still may win by ~5% but, still, it's going to be close.

In 1992 Clinton did not win a primary or caucus until Super Tuesday contests. I would not count out Bloomberg. That kind of money will produce results. Bernie may still come out with a plurality

Clinton also had charisma, which Bloomberg completely lacks. He looked like he was on beta-blockers and xanax during that debate.

We say that now, but early on it was not his charisma, it was the incompetence of his competition. But he lost Iowa to Harkin and New Hampshire to Tsongas andNevada to Jerry Brown. He wad smart enough to not over extend in the NE and heessentially could not have cared less about Iowa. He ran the tables in the South, though and then he became " charismatic"

There are some out there who maintain that the whole Gennifer Flowers thing saved Clinton's campaign and that it was planned for by Clinton. One of these guys will need something like that....none are the political animal that the Slickster was.

I don't see Bernie winning in So Car....I think 3rd place os the best he can do there. Biden wins So. Car, Steyer comes in 2nd Bernie gets 3 rd. Super Tuesday looks to continue as a clusterfrick though. No one will be a runaway winner of primaries start looking at the consistent second place guy.
