Dows largest complex started up 7-8 years ago announced its shutting down this morning. Source is an insider located in Al- Jubail Saudi Arabia.
Sadara a 10-12 billion dollar complex had not been a real money maker for Dow, I suspect do to Saudi overhead expenses.
Equate, Dow's other big joint venture in Kuwait is likely not operating for a while.
Polyethylene and oxide derivatives are going to go through the roof. Basic chemicals that will drive inflation.
