Trump is trying to be more mainstream this term. He still posts his stream of consciousness on Truth, but his Twitter account mostly reads like any other politician. Folks like Marco Rubio are now very powerful cabinet members. His press appearances since being elected have been largely scripted. It won’t be a “burn the place to the ground” presidency like his first term was. Don’t be surprised to see him try to work with Democrats to increase the minimum wage. What Trump wants more than anything is acceptance from the American people. He left office in 2021 with an approval rating in the 30s; right or wrong, he’s going to stick more to the script and try to get along since this is his last hurrah.

Steve Miller will propose a few targeted reforms that Trump will go for and it will all be good. The key to putting American engineers to work is to re-shore manufacturing.

What about our culture? Our history? Faith in Christianity? Massive, unchecked immigration will destroy that.

You are arguing against something I did not propose - unchecked immigration. I have also made clear, repeatedly on here, that we should be very leery about letting Muslims in.

ETA: I think we should focus heavily on eastern Europe, and get most of our immigrants from there. But I think that highly educated Indians, who are not Muslims, are a boon to our society.
