The Russian people don't need to pack anything to get ready for General War with the USA because all of the Russian people will be transformed into radioactive plasma.
Russia and the Russian people will cease to exist, should they dare provoke the USA.

As an analyst, this is actually something you pay attention to.
When state media starts preparing the public for war, and when, more importantly, the government starts disrupting civilian life with war prep - you assume a certain level of seriousness.
Disrupting civilian life is politically and economically painful.
I assume Moscow was sending us a message “we’re serious.” But they were also giving the public a heads up, “this could get bad.”
In all of our wargaming scenarios, any direct conflict with the USSR ended in a nuclear exchange. It didn’t matter how limited the initial dispute was - we never managed to stop the escalation cycle.
