re: Russia is not our enemy

You love talking about history, so let’s actually talk about it. Nation-states have always built spheres of influence—it’s how geopolitics works and always has. The British Empire did it, Rome did it, the U.S. does it to this day. But somehow when Russia does it, it’s suddenly evil and unacceptable? That’s pure hypocrisy.
The U.S. has military bases in 80+ countries. We’ve overthrown governments, installed puppets, rigged foreign economies, all to serve “American interests.” But when Russia tries to control what happens on it’s own border, that’s where you draw the line? The only difference is when WE do it, it’s “spreading democracy,” when THEY do it, it’s ”imperialism.” It’s the same damn game, different players.
And what exactly does any of this do for the average American? We’re sending billions to Ukraine while our own economy is circling the drain, our borders are wide open, and our government treats its own citizens like threats. This so-called “post-WWII world order” is nothing but an excuse to keep us locked into endless wars while politicians, bankers and defense contractors get rich. If this “order” is so great, why is America weaker than ever? Why is our industry gone? Why are we drowning in debt while foreigners get billions of our tax dollars?
Russia establishing influence in its own backyard isn’t some great evil, it’s what every powerful nation does. The real crime is OUR government using our money to dominate a country that has nothing to do with us while selling our own country out from under us. You say I’m “part of the destruction of the post-WWII world order”? GOOD. Because that “order” has done nothing but serve the same corrupt globalists who are running America into the ground while using people like you to cheer it on.
Are you really attempting to imply that a state that is responsible for 6 million deaths is just another state building a sphere of influence? Do you understand what they did to bring that sphere of influence under their control?
I can't believe I've deigned to engage you in this discussion. And on a sports forum of all things. I'm out.

The deep state wants the US to take out Putin because he kicked out the globalists and refuses to play their game. War between the US and Russia has always been their goal.

Conflating Soviet atrocities with modern Russia is just lazy. By that logic, no major power—including the U.S.—would have the right to a sphere of influence.
You never engaged in a real discussion. You assumed I was an idiot, got your arguments dismantled, and now you’re pretending to be above it all. If you’re out, you’re out—just don’t act like you won anything.

Russia has enough nuclear weapons to end life on earth. It is in the world’s interests for us to get along.

Pattons America doesn’t exist anymore, and he wouldn’t like what we’ve become, from his perspective we would resemble the Communists he believed were our true enemies

Putin might not be a globalist but he isn’t this world savior fighting evil that you make him out to be either. He will do whatever it takes to keep former Soviet countries under his sphere of influence. Whether through election interfering or invading under the guise of protecting ethnic Russians. Georgia, Chechnya, Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine are all examples of this. Not to mention the many people inside Russia that have challenged him and mysteriously died or came up missing. F Zelensky but F Putin too. Just because he once rode a horse shirtless doesn’t mean you have to choke on his knob.

I actually don’t disagree with most of what you’re saying. Russia isn’t a savior, and I don’t see it as some moral example. You’re right, Putin talks a big game about traditional values, but Russia itself is still deeply corrupt, struggling with godlessness in its own ways. My point was never that Russia is some beacon of righteousness, just that it happens to be standing against the same globalist machine that’s actively dismantling the West. That doesn’t make Russia good, it just means they’re resisting the same forces trying to erase national identity everywhere.
I completely agree that the U.S. is the last place where real Christian, Western values can still be preserved. If there’s any hope for something better, it’s here, not in Europe or Russia. And I hope you’re right about my generation, because if American exceptionalism is going to last, we’ll need to fight for it.

It amazes me when people say they don’t care if they both kill each other. These are human beings. The globalists want to kill off the world population, especially white people. The idea should be to oppose the globalist agenda everywhere and every thing.

Doubt. Russia has not paid to maintain their nuclear arsenal, most of their nukes are likely duds.

No he didnt. Weak US leadership did. The airforce wanted to nuke China. If we had taken care of business then, we would be undisputed hegemony through our great grand childrens time

Fair enough
Your OP just rubbed me as a little too Russia loving, and Im no boomer who has irrational Russia hate. The way I see it, the old world is gone. Godless. No hope. Either blue haired or islamic/authoritarian fiends.
If your in that younger generation, yall are in a great era. Im in the millennials, and man our generation was a let down. Statistically, the blue haired brigade peaked with the millennials.
Just look at the wins POTUS has racked up in a single month in office, when most of direct reports werent even confirmed until the past 1-2 weeks
The US is back.

It’s hard to engage in real discussion, when you’re convinced that 2+2=3, even though the real answer is 4.

I can’t say I disagree because I do feel the same way, as war is hell, and have seen it first hand, however it’s none of my business as long as it doesn’t affect us, just like your life in your home doesn’t affect me.
