Early and mail-in voting was an advantage for Republicans. That changed in 2020 after Trump urged his supporters to not trust the system and vote in person on election day.

Mail-in voting isn’t an advantage for Republicans nationally.

The problem is not mail in ballots. Check responsible states like Alabama. You have to request a ballot, they send you a form. You fill out, return with copies of photo id with address, and bill with your address and return. Then they send you a ballot you fill out, witness and return.

Cali, they blanket mail out (if they do actually send them out) to people who have gotten a drivers license. Now they will argue that you have to check a box if you are illegal when getting a license....ya think they do that? And of course they are not going to vote. So when they dont the county just sends out a notice they did not vote is this their current address and asks they return it, of course they wont....and voila there you have the thousands of names for ballot stuffing.

With every progressive voting law Cali has passed, it has moved more and more blue....or has it?

I keep seeing that they had 79% mail in the previous election....what was it in periods PRIOR to that, and were laws relaxed?
