'Right out of the Marxist playbook': Ocasio-Cortez's criticism of Western Culture!

quote:
"Marx said that culture is simply an epiphenomenal superstructure on top of the economic substructure, and don't be distracted therefore by 'the culture.' That's just protecting the economics at bottom," Barron added. "Well, again, listen to her. 'Let's pay attention to material conditions and to class struggle.' Again, that's the Marxist playbook."
He went on to warn that Marxism is gaining popularity among politicians and cited New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) and his comments about collectivism.
"What's worrying me, everybody, is the extent to which political leadership on the left in America is becoming unapologetically Marxist," Barron continued.
The MSM Will Promote marxist ideology Heavily if WE ALLOW IT!!

This isn't completely political but, while his comments are right on point...
I feel like Bishop Barron is starting to make his move on the USCCB. It's probably the right time, and he is skirting a political framework, which could be messy. He does love to hear himself talk, but he's usually right, and I would have no problem with him having more influence in the American Catholic church. My guess is he is pretty antagonistic to Leo, who wants to make peace right now everywhere.
Which is fine, but I'm not sure if it's the right time. He plateaued for a bit, buyt his culturally aware viewpoint could make waves heading into 2028.
