The democrats passed legislation =ACA and it is very popular with red states like it or not as why they are being squeezed to keep it.
Or, since Republicans are so much smarter, they could replace it. But, they are too stupid to have any ideas after all this time.

Republicans campaigned before on repealing Obamacare only for McCain to save it. They are their own worst enemy.
They have to have a real alternative developed.
If they extend these subsidies, make them need based. Let those that can afford it buy their own insurance.

And now they use AI to find every possible way to deny care and frick you. Insurance companies serve no purpose other than to drive up cost. A useless middleman.

I don't understand why we can't just have universal health care like Canada
Even the UK has it figured out

As assisted suicide is making its way through the House of Lords, there are worries that cases like Van Alstine’s could become the reality in England and Wales.
Hundreds of hospice beds have been cut across England, and the majority of hospices are now operating in deficit, according to a major report – raising serious criticism that while palliative care services are undergoing a financial crisis, Parliament has committed to ensuring assisted suicide receives the financial support needed for its implementation, should it become legal.
