What makes you think this is a blanket amnesty?
You have already admitted that you don’t know what’s in the legislation...
I listened to Horowitz and Levin discussing this and the consensus is the legislation will eventually add upwards of 6 million illegals into legal status and eventually citizenship. Frickery at all levels if you ask me, imagine folks who are trying to immigrate properly....would you be a little pissed off?

I agree.
The GOP might benefit in the long run though. But again, it doesn’t seem like Reagan’s amnesty got the Hispanic vote.

The only way I could support this concept is:
1) full funding of wall
2) law allowing for unilateral cutting off of federal $ to sanctuary cities
3) birthright citizenship gone
4) amnesty would only allow for legal status, NOT citizenship
5) auto-deportation upon conviction for any crime (other than a traffic violation [does not apply to DWIs]). No hearing. Straight to the airport.
6) 25% tax on all remittances
All of the above will be in place as law before any "amnesty" is extended.
Oh, and for the last condition:
They will not be allowed to vote in federal elections for 20 years.

As someone who actually cares about the welfare of poor Americans. Amnesty, in any form, is a bad idea, and a betrayal of the working poor, the one group in America without any political heft.
The one group that is no position to defend itself, from the predilections of the fortunate, and the connected.
This push for amnesty exposes the moral vacuum that our political class lives in.
And it exposes just how much they hate poor working Americans.

Those people aren't going to murder themselves anymore those those drugs aren't gonna smuggle themselves or those girls aren't gonna rape themselves!
You have the same mentality as the old slave owners. "You know what those good cotton britches gonna cost if we got to pay white boys to pick that cotton?"

Enforce laws against hiring illegals and they’ll voluntarily go back to their homes.

A common exchange:
Babykiller: We should offer a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.
Nazi: Great. So how many will you be taking into your house?
Very well.
Dale51: Let’s deport the >10million illegals.
xiv: Great. How many will you be carrying on your back across the border?
Both are very derp.

Let’s be honest, here. And not Fantasy Island.
What do you think would happen if illegals working in agriculture were deported?

Your conditions would be a decent carrot for conservatives but the DC Swamp and the US Chamber of Commerce would never agree to your conditions because it would essentially end illegal immigration....they don’t really want that.

If you make illegal immigration difficult, the supply of illegal workers will shrink, and employers will be obliged to increase wages to the point that Americans will take these jobs.

I’ve read the bill. Nothing stands out as particularly objectionable to me. Is there any text in the bill that you find uncomfortable?

That is an unbelievably weak analogy.
It doesn't work on any level.
Sad.
