Good Lawgic said the Ghislane Maxwell closing today went... 2 hours for prosecution close, 2 hrs 45 mins for defense closing, 45 minutes for prosecution rebuttal, 1 hour on jury instructions

jury deliberations look to have ended for the day with no verdict
ETA: roughly 5 hrs 15 min of jury deliberations today with no verdict

Nick Rekieta just said on his late night stream that a source he has in Hennepin County told him that no matter what time the jury actually comes to a decision... they're going to wait to announce it after 5 PM so they can lock down the court for the reading of the verdict.
he's a small town central Minnesota lawyer... so I don't doubt that he would know people who work in the Minneapolis metro

Do we get a verdict today? There is not that much to review no? Unless there is one jury hung up on trying to impeach Kim's testimony.

What could one deduce from this information? Guilty vs Not Guilty... ...why do they wait until end of day? to quell possible riots?

He said it was just so they could make sure as few people as possible were in the court building so they could lock down the court just in case

Do these folks actually practice law? They sure seem to have a bunch of free time.

Rekieta says he noticed some activity in the courtroom... no word yet on if it's a verdict or a jury question
Posted on 12/21/21 at 4:28 pm to rt3
It's a jury question... to be read in the next couple minutes
Posted on 12/21/21 at 4:32 pm to rt3
2 questions
1) jury basically saying it's deadlocked
2) can zip ties be removed from gun so jury can handle Potter's gun

I've thought mistrial for a while. The State definitely didn't prove criminal guilt but you know there is at least 1 person on that jury who is voting guilty no matter what.

Defense objecting to reading just 1 paragraph of the jury instruction
Also objecting to allowing jury to handle the gun

Frank does not know how to shut up. He is always so long-winded.

I guess the question is how big of a weight difference will there be between the taser and the gun without the magazine? That seems like it would bode well for Potter as it has to weigh less and thus feel closer to the taser weight or am I missing something?

Also... sounds like the jury is sequestered during deliberations... so how long will jury deliberate before saying "we want to go home"
ETA: esp with Christmas basically upon us

Somebody likely stuck on no way you can’t tell difference and wants to say..see…she has to of known. Ignoring all the other factors going on.
Potter Fd up but it doesn’t meet the criminal standard.
