Oh I have. I went to at 50/50 high school. I played basketball and the black girls liked my legs so I wasn't targeted. Lol

There is no doubt I had many advantages growing up in America as a WASP....I got it and need no one to tell me. I also know inequities abounded in the days of my youth, I am 60 years old. But, I also know this: not every WASP was as privileged as me as many lived, and still do, in some pretty deplorable circumstances. I also know I was taught to never think higher of myself than I should and comparing myself to others was a non-starter. I also know that my privilege brought with it a responsibility, to be grateful, mindful, responsible...that I should conduct myself gentlemanly and to never use one's standing as an entitlement.
I get it, as much as my experiences allow, but will not allow it to define me. Am grateful and pleased with the life lived to date and God willing may it continue as I am now entering 'it is time to give back' phase of life.
Peace.

I've played pickup on mixed courts for years with black dudes. I've seen yelling, pushing, posturing but for life of me I don't recall and actual fight. We're not talking about shite talking in a bar...if a fight broke out over shite said during pickup ball no game would ever end without a fight.

You should have been aware. It seems like you are now.

I am soft. I don't think getting into a fist fight with a stranger at the gym over a basketball game makes you hard tho, and would feel like a real piece of shite getting arrested for doing such. I even thought about borrowing some boxing gloves and offering to spar him if he's really that upset and yearning for a physical altercation, but my legs were gone after 3 hours of basketball and he had only been there for 30 mins. I can take getting an asswhooping if the circumstances are fair, but I'm not gonna engage in a fight of that nature when I'm exhausted. Maybe if I see him again and am stil feelingl bent out of shape about it I'll see if he has any interest.

I had it happen to me once on a job site. The only thing that kept me from knocking the frick out of this guy was the fact that I would lose my job, and I couldn't afford that at the time. I'll never do that again. frick a job. My self respect is worth more than any job.
My advice to you is to frick this guy up.

Or they end up working service jobs in your area and mellowing out. I still run into several people I had to fistfight.

I was the only white kid on the bus in Ethelsville Pickens county. I know what it is to fight, and to make friends.

You can never win against a perpetually pissed-off person with an agenda. That dude obviously carries a chip on his shoulder 24/7, and I'm sure the toxic racial rhetoric coming from the White House the past 8 years has only manipulated him into being that much worse.
That's just the way some people are. I'm a huge Chuck Berry fan, and was sad to hear he had passed away. I enjoyed the tributes from other musicians about how iconic Berry had been as one of the founding fathers of rock n roll.
But then, that overrated racist POS, Spike Lee, had to piss in the punch bowl & use Berry's death as an excuse to voice his racist bullsit, saying something like "know your history! "We" invented this music!" Totally unnecessary. But, that's what pissed-off idiots do.

True. But when they fail to regulate their mouth, someone will usually do it for them.
