And the democrat party doesn't?

I don't hear much outrage over Obama nominating a corporate fat cat to head the FCC and watch him kill net neutrality in exchange for the big bucks last election. Not a peep.

The first thing you need to do is GO MEET AND GREET different demographic groups instead of only white middle class. Break out of your comfort zone. Stop the pandering amnesty votes and the like thinking that it will win you votes. You actually have to go meet people, shake hands, kiss babies, converse and understand the various issues. Teach different groups how your ideas will solve their issues. Get some f'n feet on the ground and go meet people. This is how you build credibility and most of all trust.

I really what Rand has done in that regard

Because it's basically a right wing blog and not a legit article.

It's just reporting survey results. And I don't see a whole lot of spin, either. There's no claim that it's nationally representative or anything of the sort. The results ARE interesting, even if they are inconclusive.

There is some indication, at least, that Paul might have a chance at gaining some support in areas that Republicans traditionally do terribly in. This article isn't really claiming that Paul has the support of nearly 1/3rd of African Americans or that he's tied with Hillary Clinton for the support of young people, but there are some telling trends in that data, when you compare him with other potential candidates, that are interesting and warrant some further investigation.

. PPP recently polled Arkansas, and she was winning there as well against all republicans.

Is that truly surprising?

Yall are way off base here.

a) Paul won't get the nomination in 2016. I hope he does, and I might just register R so I can vote for him in the caucus. But he will be destroyed by the republican machine. He alienates core parts of the base.
b) Its a no brainer that paul could beat hillary in KY (his home state) and two libertarian leaning states (CO and NH). The problem is these aren't really that big of the electoral picture.
c) While I think paul has a good chance to win the race if he is nominated, he is going to face big battles in some swing states like Florida and Virginia. Those states are stuck on the gov't teat and they might not warm to his message

Its good to see the outreach but I just don't think it matters in 2016. Maybe 2020.
