No.. Tariffs benefit large corporations. It hurts small business.
One of the few advantages a small to medium company can have is import less expensive compondents.

You rarely see people who understand economics (both micro and macro), finance and business against tariffs.
The US will never be fully secure unless we make things like steel, aluminum, cars and trucks, ships, food and pharmaceuticals.
There is a lot of talk about rare earth minerals. China refines those to the usable finished products. We barely do. The refine 95% of these essential materials consumed worldwide.
Copper is very important to electrical and electronics. It has to be refined to a high level to be used in those applications. We send our semi processed copper all the way to China to have it refined and shipped back.
We used to be the great industrial engine. It’s how we beat both Germany and Japan at the same time. They both had fully formed militaries. We had a small peace time military. But we were able to greatly out build them to win the war. Now China’s ship building capacity, compared to ours is 500 to 1.
We are real bad situation. If Trump gets EVERYTHING he wants we will still be very lucky to survive a real challenge from Chinas and Russia at the same time.

No just frickin NO. What benefits small business is being able to buy local “components” at a competitive price. Your train of thought suggests that all things must be outsourced from a foreign company with cheapest price using slave labor that we cannot compete with. Well guess what, we can and will compete with them when the playing field is leveled. GDP will increase, interest rate levels will be lowered. The dollar does not get crushed because of over printing of money due to a humongous trade deficit.

Can’t wait to pull this thread in a few years to show all these people shitting on Trump for trying to get equal trade agreements and his wrong there were.
Trump told everyone on the campaign trail this is what he was going to do so why is everyone sudden freaking out about it?
