This is what they should allow every American to do. Testing for whoever wants it. Symptoms or not.

It allows asymptomatic people to self quarantine,
reduces the chance of infecting others,
reduces death rate statistics, so less hysteria.
Plus allows people who may now be immune to go back to work and help the economy.

CDC and FDA definitely dropped the ball with the delayed testing but continue the mistake daily. I don’t understand the administration’s stance on testing. Follow South Korea’s model for frick’s sake.

Why does it fricking matter if you're tested or not? If you feel fine stay home. If you think you are about to die go to the hospital.

Otherwise, wash your hands and stay 6 feet from others. It's really not fricking difficult. STFU with the testing bullshite. It doesn't do anything.

Disagree, but the “mortality rate” would plummet if we knew how many of us are carrying it.

You lost all credibilty yesterday with your fake news thread that you refused to edit even after several posters pointed out your error.

Interesting. Yet my high risk, cancer surviving, asthmatic, 21 year old daughter pre screens positive on the hotline, but can’t be tested because they ran out of tests before she got an authorization number to be tested.
Can’t be seen at Urgent Care and Er won’t accept unless needs ventilator.

Unless you’re symptomatic and need an authorization number in order for hospital to treat you. True story. Wake up folks. Until your loved one is ill it is all talk.

I seriously doubt it.

Rand Paul, left untested would have infected others and those would have infected others and so on. One simple test halted his viral reproduction to others. If you can’t see that you’re stupid.

Also the point that if you feel fine stay at home? WTF? You know how many mother frickers are out working and infecting others? It’s about containment but if you do not have the data, you can’t contain. I’m sure the dude who cooks your food at McDonalds that your poor arse loves to eat is really washing his hands. fricking idiots.

How do we test everybody, when we barely have enough test to use on the symptomatic? You realized the test had to be developed specifically for this disease, there was no SARS-COV-2 test laying around. You're not very bright.

He probably passed it onto dozens of other senators. Hopefully they got a plan to vote from quarantine.

If he was asymptomatic then why did he get tested?

Two tiered justice system and now a multi tiered corona virus testing system. You poor's and regular joes just go sit in the corner and wait your turn.

Money talks.

So now we are to run the country based off of an oil attorney.

How about you do lawyer stuff and medical experts handle the medical stuff.

Completely agree with you. I believe this is why some on the left have shifted from the test everybody philosophy. There is a leftists now calling positive tests "saturation" and goes on to say the saturation is past the point required for testing.

There are too many fools spinning to may opinions, and most of them know nothing about virology, pharmacotherapy, and epidemiology.

Testing=treatment
This isn’t the America I grew up in and yes you need an authorization number. So yes there is a shortage of testing. When your child is symptomatic and can’t get tested and therefore get treatment!!!

We don't have the resources. No country has enough to test 350MM people once, much less 350MM people once a week or so on.

It's fantasy land to pretend unlimited resources exist. They don't. That's the point.

Nothing prevents asymptomatic people from self quarantining. And they all should without damn good reason for it.

Nothing about the current testing says if anyone is immune.

Testing is way more important for statistics than it is for treatment.
Just stay home.

Companies have to produce tests that are worth a shite. They can't just "poof" them out of clean air.

Follow South Korea’s model for frick’s sake.

An entire country who self-quarantines would have a much flatter curve than even South Korea

The tests are essentially irrelevant.

And this is basically just echoing my views expressed in a thread around a week ago called "testing is a red herring"

Doctors treat presumptively without tests all the time. This post is not accurate.

I have no idea why you think this is a right/left issue. Many of us would like to make sure as many tests get done as possible, but we also accept that we still don't have enough tests / lab capacity to test everyone.
