East St. Louis =/= St. Louis. Or even Missouri.

I'm pretty sure they were in St. Louis, but I could be wrong.

In fairness, the violence is isolated on the north side of st louis and the parts of the county adjacent. Ferguson is in the county adjacent to North St Louis.

The rest of metro is very mild and pretty average outside on or two hot zones that come and go on the near south side..

As a life long Bham resident, I can tell you that things are better here. Never thought I'd say that.

I was just kidding, anyway. I have never been to St. Louis, and I want to approach it by car from the East, just as Chevy and family did.

People will protest until he is charged. Guaranteed.

The only saving grace may be if the FBI concludes that the shooting was justified. The mob knows Holder's Justice Department has their backs.

I still see civil rights charges in the cop's future, regardless of whether he's ever charged criminally.

Its cool rolling up on the arch from the east across the river. Just dont exit on the Illinois side at the river or anything north on 70.

Wilson starts to pursue and Brown stops and says "What are you going to do, shoot me? And then he charges at Wilson and Wilson shoots him, and Brown didn't stop, he kept coming. This made Wilson think Brown was high on some drugs because he didn't stop, so the final shot hit him in the forehead.

If that's true, then this cop did the right thing.

Interesting For those of you who don't want to listen: Officer Wilson tells Brown/Johnson to get out of the road, Brown/Johnson are disrespectful back and keep walking. Then Officer Wilson gets radio dispatch about robbery and suspect description and what was robbed, Wilson goes in reverse to get a better look. Wilson opens his door, Brown slams it shut, Wilson opens it again and then Brown bum rushes Wilson, Wilson tries to protect his gun and somehow it goes off and Brown runs away Wilson starts to pursue and Brown stops and says "What are you going to do, shoot me? And then he charges at Wilson and Wilson shoots him, and Brown didn't stop, he kept coming. This made Wilson think Brown was high on some drugs because he didn't stop, so the final shot hit him in the forehead.

Yeah, but the kid was black. The cop should have taken his arse whippen with the threat of death. Again, the kid was black.

St. Louis is actually a fine town. I've been on many business trips up there and I'm always impressed. There are a lot of nicer suburbs west of town, plenty of things to do, fantastic highways, and generally friendly people. They have a neat downtown and riverfront, and the arch is beautiful.

It's hard to explain....but once you head north and get past Memphis, everything gets cleaner. Even the fast food restaurants and service stations are clean and staffed with competent employees.

WRONG. he said that the robbery wasnt the reason for the INITIAL encounter.

that story follows what the Chief said.

Why would the Chief make his comments regarding the encounter but never follow through and mention that the officer learned of the robbery and the suspect description? That makes no sense.

A lot of things revolving around this dont. The Ferguson Police chief is way out of his element with the cameras and world spotlight shinning on him.

Dont worry, according to the account given by the friend of the officer involved as told by him to her there will be a pretty decisive conclusion based on forensics, tox screen and autopsy. The two stories just dont mesh at all really.

This "friend" is about as trustworthy as the dead guys friend.

Only facts so far:

1. Cop stopped the two men in the street for walking in the street.

2. One unarmed guy ended up dead at the hands of the cop.

Nothing else, but witness accounts that are all subject to bias.

Has anyone posted this witness account?

quote:

FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Another witness to the shooting of Michael Brown, Jr. spoke to News 4 Wednesday.

Tiffany Mitchell, 27, said she did not see what led up to the shooting, but said she arrived right before the fatal shots were fired.

“As I was coming around, I heard the tires squeaking on the truck, and as I get closer, I see them tussling through the window. The kid was pulling off and the cop was pulling in,” Mitchell said.

Mitchell told News 4 she saw a door closed on a police car. An officer was inside and Brown, Jr. was on the outside. She said the two were arm wrestling through the car window. Mitchell said she then tried to pull out her phone to record. Shots then rang out.

“It just didn’t look right for them to be arm wrestling,” Mitchell said. “The first gun shot came from the window, so I just started getting out of the way.”
According to Mitchell, Brown, Jr, began to run away after the first shot was fired.

“After the shot, the kid just breaks away. The cop follows him, kept shooting, the kid’s body jerked as if he was hit. After his body jerked he turns around, puts his hands up, and the cop continues to walk up on him and continues to shoot until he goes all the way down,” Mitchell said.

When I was a kid, my family moved from LA to OK.

We could always tell we were back in "The South" when we reached Pine Bluff, AR.

I never said different. What Im saying is that if thats the officers story then the forensics will be able to determine which story is true. Thats all im saying and thats predicated and the woman actual giving the story the officer told.

Well, I mean, I will believe the story that has science backing it, thats a fairly rational thought, no?

If the ballistics, forensics and autopsy tell a different story, yes.

Its just a waiting game now.
