Would the declassification of any of these FISA documents affect possible criminal prosecution of the people involved later on? That is to say, if they release damning evidence of crimes to the public, are any possible prosecutions out the window at that point?

At this point, I don't care if these people go to jail - I just want them out of governement - I want their credibility destroyed - I want everyone who allied with them to be public shamed and driven from office - I want them vulnerable to civil action - I want their careers destroyed - I want all their benefits from theri prior 'service' to be nullified, no pension, no insurance - i want them to suffer the consequences that they have engineered for so many good and decent people in the past.

I'd say the odds are very small of any prosecutions but they could prosecute IF they broke fed laws.

None of that will happen if they aren't charged and convicted.

None of us know. You need a super lawyer from New York or D.C. To answer that question.

No.

Otherwise, defense attorneys would leak everything.

Good point. I never thought of that. I had just assumed prosecutors were so tight-lipped to the media because it might affect their case.

There are professional rules about pretrial media and other PR issues that are meant to prevent such things.

There is always the problem of tainting a potential jury pool, but that can cut both ways.
