Psychiatrist Who Told Democrats Trump Unstable Backs Away from Claims

quote:
Dr. Drew: Let me describe a person in a public office. This man is middle-aged. He comes from wealth. He’s done very erratic business ventures. He speaks tangentially. He roams the streets at night and beats people up in the office — he had an office in law enforcement at one point. Then he had an office where he was buying battleships. In a higher office, he could not sit down, was walking constantly, was very irritable and irascible and extremely impulsive. Should that guy be in office?
Dr. Lee: Well, I mean, that would be a very, very concerning person.
Dr. Drew: How about this one — let me give you another one. This guy had a long history of depression. And there’s a story of him being so, so profoundly depressed that one day he was walking down the street, and his son, who was pulling a red wagon — an by the way, his doctor had him on mercury, and who knows that might have done to his mental status — and the wagon flipped over, and the child dropped out of the wagon, and in his fugue depression, continued to walk for another half mile down the street — is that somebody who should be in office?
Dr. Lee: I wouldn’t speak to whether the person should be in office. It does look like the person would need an evaluation.
Dr. Drew: Yeah, so the first one was Theodore Roosevelt. The second one was Abraham Lincoln. And so that’s my fear — that if we start creating these things they’re going to be applied in ways that have unintended effects. That’s my fear.
Dr. Lee: Exactly, exactly. So we’re really not talking about mental illness here. Or what the person has. That is really a private affair. What is of concern is whether or not the person has the capacity to serve. And his function, his or her function, is what is of public concern.

mental capacity does not equal mental illness
she never stated he was mentally ill
she never stated he was mentally ill

Perhaps she was asleep between 1988 and 2016

you'd have to think that this was a politically motivated charge.
once she was accused of offending the “Goldwater Rule” and that no one from the Democratic party will commit to her claims, she should absolutely back away from her claims. If she was worth a shite, she should actually say she is wrong.
This entire attack is not funny; it's alarming.

Thomas Wolff = author who didn't interview Trump or others tossing shite at the Administration and has to admit to embellishing & exaggerating what he wrote.
Dr. Lee = psychiatrist who didn't interview Trump or others in the Administration tossing out shite about mental stability then having to admit "we’re really not talking about mental illness here."
CNN = can't avoid recognizing the flaws with both these situations but still holds to the "flawed but rings true" claim.

that may be the case, but how does someone's mental capacity keep them from becoming President?

She is wrong for saying anything until she has completed a full face to face evaluation. This is a significant ethical violation on her part.

HIPAA Laws should prohibit her from saying a single word, unless authorized by her patient, President Donald Trump.
She went stupid on this thing and psychiatry's professional community should reprimand her for it.

Lee is not a psychiatrist. She just passes herself off as one.

It's not even entertaining reading your posts anymore. You are so off in left field, in defense mode.
You're becoming the next Iosh

I don't like fake news.
Not sorry for calling it out when I see it.

Bandy Lee:
The special counsel’s indictments started a crisis — a mental health crisis.
You can hash the exact word used all day, but the American public gets it
