I don't think Hamas getting better leadership is a viable option. I think a de-Hamasification of Gaza is the strategy.

There is no logic here. What you propose will just lead to the cycle repeating itself. Israel must destroy hamas and remove any surviving palestinians to some muslim country. Anything less is abject failure on Israel's part.
