Pride month was nothing more than the left jumping on a bandwagon cause that attacks normal society. The LGBT community has outlived its use to the left for shock value. The Muslims are now the leftist cause to rile up society.

Sorry, dyke…the Ts and the rest of the freak alphabet are with you.
DWI … or try some dick and be a normal woman, you may like it.

I worked with a gay guy once who told me he wanted gay people to blend into your neighborhood and work in the community and be good neighbors and whatever. Not flying flags and marching in parades.
I think there is a solid swath like that. But I think the number of people willing to object to the ones driving the boat is much smaller though. When you consider that many gay orgs have effectively accomplished their mission statement many times over already, it makes sense as to why they have to reinvent struggles and identities and so forth to stay relevant. Same for SPLC et al.
But, to be completely candid, that's not the end of the story. So the toned down gay couple moves onto your street. What are the political signs in the yard? Are they adopting kids? What's that mean for your interactions over the years? Stuff like the tweet in the OP would certainly help us get back to a certain level of normalcy, but it wouldn't eliminate all the friction points.

As Norm McDonald said, being gay isn't something to be proud of. It isn't something that you work hard for and achieve. It just is what it is. According to their own narrative.
