Prediction: JBE will be vetted as a potential VP pick for the 2020 Dim nomination

Since their candidate will likely be some left to far left loon, the DNC will pressure them to pick a traditional Dim to appeal to moderates and RINOs. They witnessed Honor Code this past weekend get re-elected in a ruby red state in the Deep South.
Not saying he will be the VP pick, but he will make the shortlist and be vetted by the Dim nominee's search committee and meet with the candidate.
You heard it here first.

He'd make a fine VP. Who knows? You could be right, but I hope he sticks around.
If anything, JBE is proof that educated voters are more moderate.

That would be a win for LA if he drops out to run for VP, and then get Crushed by Trump. Yuge win

0 chance. Pro life is a non starter for Democrats on the national level.

Jesus, man. Did you read anything he wrote?

I was just about to agree with you here, but I think the only thing that will shut that down is JBE not being pro-abortion enough. If he walked the dem line on that issue, I’d agree that he’d potentially get serious consideration to balance one of the socialists. But no dem will sniff the ticket if they fail that litmus test

Or is he only pro-life because it's convenient?

And I’m saying there is 0 chance because he’s pro life. I know original thought is a foreign thing for you. A heartbeat bill is against everything the left believes, even their moderates.

true, and he could base his platform on the basis that he's not allowed Louisiana to lose any ground in the rating of best to worse states.

Do you ever think back about how stupid you looked when talking about state policies in LA compared to other Southern states?

Cheney was pro-gay marriage as Bush's VP during the era of DOMA and DADT.

JBE is not leaving office to let a republican replace him and control redistricting even if it’s someone RINO as hell like fat Pinky Nungesser.
And the democrats will not allow that to happen anyway.

Well that is a bigger blow to my theory than the abortion stance. Hadn't considered this.

JBE had 52% of the electorate vote against him in the first round.
He barely eeked out a win in the runoff because Rispone ran an incompetent, inept and absolute dumpster fire of a campaign with no message, refused to talk about relevant Louisiana issues and pissed off too many Abraham voters in North Louisiana, and even then, he still needed high turnout from blacks and to win Orleans Parish by ten points more than Obama did in 2008.

LoL, No
It doesn't take much vetting to see a state full of Republican reps, and all statewide officials are (R) And what would their selling point be? "We got the governor from the worst state in the union on the ticket, why don't all you other southern states hop on board?"
LoL, No

Pfftt he'd change in a heartbeat if asked to be VP pick.

I can't see why he wouldn't be being from the economic miracle that is La.

Not a chance he will be picked. Ain’t liberal enough, and wouldn’t even be able to carry his own home state. Pick would remind me of trump and gore, two people that couldn’t even carry their own home states. Democrat VP candidate will be from a purple state.
