Before you gloat too much over the weak nominee who couldn't pass muster today, feast your eyes on this article from melty Time magazine.

As of Thursday, Trump set a record for the most ever federal appeals judges confirmed during the first year of a presidency, Axios reports. Trump has successfully appointed 12 so far; President Barack Obama confirmed just three in his first year, and President George W. Bush confirmed six. He beat out presidents Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy, who each confirmed 11.

....but the swift confirmation of conservative judges marks a promise well-kept to Republican voters.

Don't be a condescending prick.

Quality? What, you've watched every.single.confirmation hearing and decided that your high standards weren't met?!?! Where were you when Barry appointed his minions?

A 36-year-old lawyer who has never tried a case and who was unanimously deemed “not qualified” by the American Bar Association has been approved for a lifetime federal district judgeship by the Senate Judiciary Committee. The lawyer, Brett Talley, is the fourth judicial nominee under President Trump to receive a “not qualified” rating from the bar association and the second to receive the rating unanimously. Since 1989, the association has unanimously rated only two other judicial nominees as not qualified.

See we are crazy. We want our judges to actually be qualified for their posts.

But then again we have a nut jobs on Trump's cabinet so what would we expect that.

Did you have the same concerns when BHO was appointing PC candidates? How wonderful you're so concerned now.

Harvard law grad who had been a clerk in federal court for years and worked in various high level positions with the fed gov prior to his apppintment. Is that the guy you are upset about?

Did you forget Mrs Kagan had never argued in front of any court ever when Obama named her solicitor general. And only 1 year later she was on the Supreme Court?

Meh. Lawyers.

Overflowing with all sorts of worldly knowledge.

Lack absolutely zero common sense and wisdom because they are hamstrung by the law.

If only they understood principles, maybe they would change professions

That is some not so subtle bigotry there. Not all lawyers are like the Clintons.
