I know someone with rental properties and they kept getting checks for someone’s rent for over a year no matter how many times she called and emailed to tell them they are no longer a tenant. She finally just created a checking acct for these fema checks and held it there so they wouldn’t accuse her of fraud. They finally kept sending them after a couple years but she won’t touch the money and has tried to return it
