How is this possible? Both screen shots are from the same article. One paragraph down. See for yourself.

Do they think people are stupid? It’s insulting.

Yes and generally they are right.

It's because they are saying the claim is that Biden said he would raise taxes on all Americans. When he said if you benefited from the tax cut bill your taxes would be raised.

It's semantics since he didn't say "all Americans" even though low income earners saw significant benefits from the tax cut so it would affect almost everyone.

Politifact is like if AOC was in charge of determining facts. It’s more biased than CNN

It's a whipsaw. They make one claim and then use a clip or quote to "support" it that actually contradicts their claim.

They play a lot of clips like this from the media on the No Agenda podcast. It's not exactly breaking news but the MSM is completely full of shite.

No.

The title says “Biden told Americans”

It doesn’t say “all americans”

Biden said if you benefited from the trump tax cuts your taxes would go up. Don’t you think more than one American benefited from the trump tax cuts. I’m sure you would agree, so by definition that’s multiple Americans, plural.

Regardless, you can admit it’s ridiculous to call it mostly false considering it was word for word.

It is absolutely ridiculous and gaslighting. I was just pointing out how they got the mostly false rating. It's a semantics game even though any same person reading the quote and their explanation can see that it's word for word.

It’s really not semantics. I don’t want to argue with you, but it doesn’t say “all Americans”

I agree, that IF IT DID say “all Americans” in the first screenshot you could play the semantics game.

This is just outright dishonesty.

I laugh when people (liberals) always cite "fact checking" sites. Who exactly do they think are running the fact checking websites and how exactly to the figure these sites are without bias?

The sarcastic saying "I read it on the web so it must be true" doesn't just go away for websites with the word fact in the name.

But the America First Action ad presents that remark out of context. And while some tax experts estimate that Biden’s plan would mean higher taxes on average for all income groups, those increases would be relatively small for all but the biggest earners.

They even admit that tax experts say higher taxes for everyone.

But it’s only some experts and just a tiny little tax hike. So small it doesn’t count!
