Politician age limits

Why can’t a common sense constitutional amendment be made to place age limits on running for or holding the office of Potus or Congress same as retirement age eligibility i.e. 65 or 67, not sure which it is currently. Seems like if other jobs have a retirement age in place, politicians should also

Because Congress won't limit themselves, that's why I have advocated for more power for the executive to limit Congress.
