Sorry, but I’m all out of fricks to give for a naked druggy who dies.
Maybe next time, but I doubt it.

So here's what that video shows:
An obviously mentally impaired man who immediately submitted to being restrained with handcuffs.
Then a bunch of cops standing around the guy at an entirely safe distance while he ranted and raved, still handcuffed and restrained.
Then a cop putting a hood over the mentally impaired guy.
No problem up to this point. I assume that it's true that the guy was spitting at them, so no real problem with that hood.
But then—and it always seems like it's the last 15% of stuff that the cops do that always causes the issue, and it also seems like it's always 100% unnecessary—the guy who at this point cannot pose either a physical or chemical threat has the hood puled tight around his face, and the obligatory knee is applied to his back/neck, until he suffers fatal injuries.
I understand that the video is edited and there may be footage that would make what is shown make more sense. But sans that...
What part of police training mandates that you are required to crush someone with your knee once they are restrained and pose no threat?
Naked, hands cuffed behind his back, hood on, facedown in the street, his guy literally could not have been more helpless/vulnerable and less dangerous.
So unless they thought he was a threat to start $@!##!&% COVID-infected turds at them, why do they need to kneel on this guy and pull the hood tight around his face? That's literally the only threat I can think of that he was capable of posing at the point that the guy kneels on him with his knee.
Why do cops do stuff like this?
Are they really trained to do so? If so, whoever comes up with these protocols is a moron.
But I don't think that's why they do it.
I think policing just attracts people who get hard-ons by bullying the hell out of other people. I think they get a fricking charge out of having the legal authority to physically cause pain and discomfort to someone else by overpowering them when they can't fight back.
Change my mind.

ABC radio news reported the police put a plastic bag over his head. WTF.
No wonder we have people rioting.

The bag is a mesh netting designed to prevent spitting and is used accross the country by law enforcement and prisons daily. It is 1000x more porous than the face masks you are currently wearing and breathing through.

A naked, psychotic, hooded, cuffed man can still kick you in the nuts and take off running, and still act like a maniac in general.
ETA: This ain't a god dam movie or video game. Some people are willing to fight to their death. You can never be to careful. Police are not babysitters. If Mr Prude were in your neighborhood...how would you handle it?

So you're an adult and have no clue that people suffering psychotic episodes are routinely restrained to prevent self harm and harm to others?
And I know this might sound like a stretch here but stay with me......maybe he went into respiratory failure due to the fatal dose of illegal narcotics he ingested? Un-fricking-beleivable I know, but there is that one and a billion chance that the hot dose of fentanyl, PHP and meth he probably shot up his arm is why he died.

I bet you swing both ways, too. Mostly the wrong way.

Not while he's face down in the street.
Nor would any of those things justify deadly force even if he was able to do them from that position.

So you're an adult and have no clue what the post you're replying to actually says. No one objected to him being restrained. He was restrained within seconds into the video. He was then killed WHILE he was restrained. That's the part that send you to prison.
There's probably a much greater than one in one billion chance that he has a congenital heart defect that caused his death.
Of course, that's not what the ME ruled.
But you probably know more than the ME, I'm sure.
