Don't do which drugs? How about cops not kill people who are laying face down in handcuffs?
That seems like the easiest solution here.

Pretty much but family is claiming he was mentally ill (tends to happen with PCP use) and the cops should have treated him better...
The problem with it all is families know they gonna get paid... Guarantee you if Mr. Prude made it to jail and lived the family wasn't coming to bail him out...

I'm not one of the cops but I doubt they had any intent to kill him. Shitty situations don't always have the best outcomes.
