Please explain why Democrats were eager to defend Peter Strzok?

He's a highly ranked FBI agent...
Help me understand the significance of their blatant defense of this man's testimony...
Why can't the chairman just go on a tirade and blast these loons...? If you're on the committee you have to set aside your personal opinions...which is exactly what is being questioned of Peter Strzok here....We know he's biased against Trump to the core, so did he do his job without bias?
Meanwhile Dems run to his defense, compounding the bias while Strzok sits there smug "I am not biased, I expressed my political views"
The chairman was having to look over his shoulder "What do I do next, can they demand a point of order? how I make them stop?"
My gosh, I guess we're getting spoiled with Trump's directness...and ability to take control of the room

The Democrats have been eager for their Oliver North moment for 30 years and thought that this was it. This same party supports violent protests against the actions of some police officers but blew a gasket when Strzok was disrespected in their eyes.
