People wonder how "we" are going to pay back all this debt

Easy.
They're planning to steal it from us. Just like they've stolen social security reserves to pay for war and all other manners of line item reasons to steal.
When we get a bullet in the head, we won't complain.
They'll even turn us into babbling blissful statists before they pull the trigger, just for fun.

"They" have been lustfully eyeing all the money in pensions and 401K's for years. The play now seems to drive up the debt to the point that servicing the interest on the debt becomes unmanageable and they seize the 401K's in the interest of "national security".

no, Trump is going to sign an executive order to cancel all debts before he leaves office.
It's that easy
It's that easy

You mean like when Cyprus seized retirement accounts?
Posted on 3/24/18 at 11:14 am to Harry Rex Vonner
Clearly there is no intention of ever paying it off.

We will default on debt we owe China and any other ahole country who is not a friend

let's review:
"progressive" - stolen word
"progressive" would have to bear fruit of actual progress wouldn't it?
so here's another one - Neo-"con"
con? really? None of them were ever conservative. Their god is money and they are slaves to their own bloodlust. Left or "right"? They don't care what you call them in the end. They want money, power and perverted to the core sex. Gluttony. Etc. Name them all.
Did anyone ever factcheck George W really going to church? Sounds like Bill's stint in the choir at the Baptist church after he lost the governorship to Frank White. Just like fricking Killary saying "I'm a Methodist!" during the past election.
War? The left have always been the actual warmongers. They foment it. Media covers for them. Try arguing against that.

Seizing private retirement accounts would cause actual violent insurrection

you know way more than me on that - sounds like you're making a great point brother

They have complete access to all of your accounts now, checking and savings much less IRA's, 401k's and brokerage accounts. They are poised at anytime to impose any sort of vehicle they want to appropriate funds from anyone and everyone. Leadership in Congress just showed they could care less about voters opinions because they are all globalist and there is nothing you can (or will) do to stop them.

no doubt, partly that too
That's why we don't yell and scream about their humanitarian abuses of their slave labor force. We don't care about those slaves, but they are pawns for us to argue about caring for later. So "we" will denounce China for it's atrocities, and then default.

There was no insurrection in 1933 when the U.S. government seized gold from private citizens.

That's correct.
And the sheep are marching for gun control across America as we speak - on this very Saturday

And you think that today’s American society, political landscape, etc is in any way comparable to it was in 1933?
Because other than the fact that we still live in the geographic United States, there is no comparison.
Also, the percentage of people who have private retirement accounts dwarfs the percentage who had significant personal gold holdings. Totally incomparable.

If you owe the bank 1 million then the bank owns you. If you owe the bank 1 billion then you own the bank.

There are competing interest I'd imagine at the "highest levels"
Those in their 70's and 80's like Soros wanting to see some sparks fly before they die. Others in their 30's and 40's willing to chill and slow cook it.
(the recent Saudi purge as an example, microcosm example, etc)
The massive theft for instance can be through slow (or not so slow) increases in crushing taxation. Doesn't have to be overt theft of whole accounts.
Create a socialist state. For many, that's the goal. Not because they believe in socialism. But because it's a vehicle to enslave. So that's when socialism becomes communism.
So again, what is the one major political system of world history? Tyranny. What is communism? Tyranny. They don't give a rip about the actual tenets of communism. That's all window dressing. They just want the tyranny.
