Pelosi made the insult during a closed meeting with Dums knowing that it was going to be released to the public and millions of Americans would hear it.
That's not the same as saying something on a bus or in a locker room to someone thinking it is in private and will not be released to the public.
It doesn't matter if Pelosi made the insult in a closed meeting with Dums. Since Pelosi knew the Dums were going to release the insult to the public, it's the same as making the insult in public.

The hunt for the SF sea serpent is going great.
We recently made a DVD of the portion of our first video before and after one of the animals makes a looping turn as well as the portion immediately after that of a 2nd animal swimming in the same area.
We enlarged that portion of the first video 4 times and slowed it down to approximately 1/24th of the video"s original speed.
What can be seen in the video is not birds or any other known marine animal.

We will also be sending it soon to several other scientists and other interested people for them to examine.

Why so sensitive, Nancy? Trump insults people in public to millions of Americans all the time.
Is it that the Speaker of the House just showed that Trump is not, in fact, an untouchable emperor who is above reproach? And that people can insult him publically just like he does?
I'm no fan of Pelosi, but she showed that she's a better man than Trump, when it comes to politics, when she made him own the potential government shutdown. I can guarantee you that the Congressional Republican leadership was dismayed by that.

I'm no fan of Pelosi, but she's right. A real man doesn't take offense at personal digs against himself, and tweets out all sorts of juvenal nonsense. That's grade school fare, and not appropriate for a mature, measured individual.

There was a thread yesterday on DU that made it sound as if Pelosi walked into the White House like Boudica, performed a castration on Trump, and then walked out to get her nails touched up.
But watching for myself the rare video of Trump in actual
executive/legislation negotiations, he appeared determined, focused, coherent and in general very "alpha-like".
If you think a statement like " i'd be happy to shut down government for border control", didn't fire up and bolster his base, you have no future as a political analyst.
It's amazing how political ideology can blind one to facts.
